A Special Bridal Shower

Erica was so excited for her bridal shower and knew she wanted to order cupcakes from us...so her sister's contacted Batter Up! and placed an order. Erica's bridesmaids' were wearing red dresses and her sister's wanted us to make the cupcakes extra special for her. After their father passed away, Erica and her family would frequently see dragonflies outside...so they asked us if we could somehow incorporate a dragonfly theme. After we thought about the perfect design for her, we realized we should make red velvet cupcakes to match the dresses and decorate with the cream cheese icing...Erica was so happy when she saw her cupcakes and they really did touch her heart. We were thrilled to make her bridal shower dessert, as well as bring a big smile to her face!

Erica said, "Thank you so much for the dragonflies--they were very special AND super delicious!"

How do you like those NY Giants?

Go Giants, go go Giants! As Giants fans, we were looking forward to making cupcakes for our fellow Giants fans! Jen was hosting her birthday party on a Sunday afternoon and wanted us to make cupcakes for her birthday and of course, to support her favorite football team. She wanted black bottom cupcakes (you know, our famous oreo crust cupcake with cream cheese and mini chocolate chip filling) and chocolate cupcakes.

So, we whipped up these two flavors and decorated them just as we thought she'd like them!

Ants in your pants and on your cupcakes!

Sean was turning 4 and having a bug-themed birthday party! We made 3 dozen oreo cupcakes for him and his bug-loving buddies! Though bugs may be slimy or gross to some, these cupcakes sure tasted delicious!

We used edible candies on half the cupcakes and plastic bugs on the others...

Don't worry, we told Beth, Sean's mom, in advance to make sure the kiddies didn't think the plastic bugs were edible!

And since we had leftover cake batter, we made Sean a special cake and decorated it with the extra candies, cookies, and bugs!

Adorable Nemo cupcakes for an adorable little girl!

Kathleen emailed us almost 2 months before her daughter's 2nd birthday, letting us know she was throwing Janay her 2nd birthday party with a Finding Nemo theme. How fun, we could make individual Nemo cupcakes! Kathleen ordered 1 dozen black bottom cupcakes and 1 dozen cookie dough cupcakes with buttercream icing for Janay's special day. We were beyond happy with the way they turned out...they really DID look like Nemo!

Kathleen emailed us the day after Janay's party, letting us know how much she loved the cupcakes.

Her email said, "OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The cupcakes far exceeded my expectations. They were amazing to look at and even better to eat! I cannot thank you enough! I am positive you will keep hearing from me. I just do not think I could ever eat a cupcake from someone else! It would not be the same!"

Margaritaville Summer Fiesta!!

Each year, Liz's company has a summer party for the entire company. And this year, the Margaritaville party was on a boat! Since Liz was on the party committee, she thought it would be so fun to make mini cupcakes for everyone...after thinking about a fitting flavor and design, she thought of making vanilla cupcakes with lemon buttercream. The decorating was the best part! She cut straws, stuck one in each cupcake, and sprinkled some colored sugar sprinkles like the sugar or salt on a margarita! Look at these fun creations!

Brynnie Girl's Bridal Shower

One of Emily's best friend's, Bryn, was getting married and asked us if we would want to make cupcakes for her shower...How could we resist?! Bryn wanted us to make 5 dozen vanilla cupcakes and decorate them with her wedding colors...white and green.

Since she didn't want any specific design, we wanted to keep them elegant and pretty, just like the bride herself!

Brynnie girl was very happy with the cupcakes, and even more excited to take home the leftovers!

Batttttter Up!

We were so happy to get an order for Jessica's son, Tyler! He was having a baseball-themed party, so we said we had the perfect idea for his party...We made chocolate cupcakes with a light chocolate buttercream icing and decorated them as baseballs.

Tyler's 1st birthday party was a blast, and his mommy wrote us the next day saying "I really loved them!"
