Here Comes The Bride!

Patty's wedding is just 7 weeks away and her bridal shower is the first of many pre-wedding parties! Her maid and matron of honor asked Batter Up! if we could make cupcakes for Patty's shower and decorate them with red icing to match the bridesmaids' dresses. We couldn't wait to bake these, especially since the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes are among the most delicious recipes we have! So, we spent all Saturday afternoon preparing the chocolate chip cookie dough, vanilla cake batter and buttercream icing, and baking all 4 dozen to perfection. When the cupcakes were served at the party, the guests ranted and raved about the festive and scrumptious desserts. The bride took the few leftover cupcakes home, but her fiance's friends ate them all before she could get to them! Sure enough, we've already recieved 2 more orders from the shower guests for our famous chocolate chip cookie dough treats! Congrats on your wedding, Patricia!!!

Under The Sea

Kristine called Batter Up! for her daughter Sydney's 4th birthday party after she had some of the ladybug cupcakes we made for another party (scroll down for pics). Sydney is really into mermaids so we decided to run with the Little Mermaid theme. We made cookies & cream with our tasty buttercream frosting.

Kristine emailed us with the following feedback: "The cupcakes were amazing!!!! I had enough for the moms to have one too and they also loved them. One mom even told me it was by far the best cupcake she had ever tasted. I told everyone how to get in touch with you so I'm sure you'll get some calls ! Thank you so much."

Happy Birthday Sydney! We hope you loved them, too! :)

Office Birthday Treats!

We decided to bake yummy vanilla cupcakes with delicious chocolate buttercream icing and chocolate chips for Danielle's February birthday! This buttercream is rich in flavor with a creamy texture. The cake came out extra moist, leaving each of the co-workers wanting seconds!

Bruce, Jeff and Heather are all celebrating their birthdays in March! Jeff had requested Boston Cream Cupcakes, so how could we turn him down? These vanilla cupcakes are filled with smooth boston cream and topped with a rich chocolate ganache glaze. Our entire team of 11 agreed these cupcakes were among their favorites!

Lucky Ladybugs

What's better than having a little luck? How about a little luck and something delicious to eat! We made 3 dozen of these little buggers for a birthday party and they were almost too cute to eat. Some were vanilla, some were chocolate and they were all frosted in our fluffy buttercream.

Bangin' Black Bottom

Skis...check. Snowboards...check. Crazy amounts of fun people in a gorgeous house in Vermont...check. Cupcakes made by Batter Up!....of course! After spending the day on the mountain (or in the hot tub) there's no better way to re-charge than with a delicious Black Bottom cupcake. These bad boys are vanilla batter with a cream cheese & chocolate chip mixture that's dropped in the middle...all on top of an Oreo cookie. Creamy chocolate frosting is the finishing touch on this to-die-for cupcake creation.

Workin' It Red Velvet

As a special treat for her co-workers, Denise made one of her favorite cupcake flavors...Red Velvet! Topped with cream cheese frosting and sprinkles, this was the perfect way to kick-off Valentine's Day weekend. Denise's co-worker Jenn said, "I loved these so much that I'd like to take Denise home with me, keep her locked in my kitchen, and make her make me red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting all day long." Hahaha...yeeeeaaaaahhhh okay Jenn. :)

And the Oscar goes to...Rocky Revolutionary Road Cupcakes!!!

It was the night of the Oscars and everyone at the Brown's theme party was dressed as their favorite nominee! Each dish and drink was named after the nominated movies...Slumdog Chicken Tikka Marsala (Slumdog Millionaire), MILK-shakes (MILK), Bread and Altar Wine (Doubt). They gave Batter Up! the exciting task of making Rocky Revolutionary Road cupcakes (Revolutionary Road). The cupcakes had fudge chocolate cake, coco buttercream icing and marshmallow, walnuts, caramel and chocolate sauce toppings. Everyone loved the new buttercream icing and the combination of the yummy topping flavors. These cupcakes were really the hottest item on the red carpet!

Hey Babycakes!

What better way to celebrate the birth of a little one than with "babycakes"! These chocolate chip cupcakes are decorated in blue and white buttercream in anticipation of a baby boy! Rattles, safety pins, and pacifier decorations add the perfect touch. Batter Up! sends a big CONGRATULATIONS to the new family and best of luck with your newborn!
